Lithium Battery Considerations

BATTERY SAFETY AND DISPOSAL

Some Sendum PT300 kits are supplied with a Sensor Pack that contains an embedded lithium-ion battery (hereinafter referred to as “Sensor Pack and Lithium-Ion Battery”. Do not dispose of the Sensor Pack and Lithium-Ion Battery in a fire. Dispose of the Sensor Pack and Lithium-Ion Battery in accordance with the laws and regulations in your area governing disposal of lithium-ion battery cell types. The Sensor Pack and Lithium-Ion Battery might present a fire or chemical burn hazard if mistreated. Do not disassemble, crush, or puncture the Sensor Pack and Lithium-Ion Battery. Do not heat the Sensor Pack and Lithium-Ion Battery above 140°F (60°C). Do not allow metal objects to contact the battery terminals.

Operating and storage temperatures

Situate the Sendum device or device accessories away from heat sources, such as radiators, heat vents, stove elements, or other equipment that generate heat. If you are not going to use the Sendum device for more than two weeks, remove the Sensor Pack and follow the operating and storage temperatures listed in the following table:

  • Device operating -4 to 140°F (-20 to 60°C)
  • Device storage -4 to 77°F (-20 to 25°C)

  • Battery charger operating 32 to 104°F (0 to 40°C)

  • Battery charger storage 32 to 104°F (0 to 40°C)
